HERE COMES THE SHITSTORM BETWEEN ME AND MIKEY.
Meri is a human, but unlike the people from Tanzuku or Syra, Meri lacks the ability to wield Mana. Oh yeah, did I mention that she's from Earth? Yeah. It turns out that in each realm, there's an 'Earth'. She's from New York City, and was given a strange necklace at age 7, by her mother, who promptly passed away from an unknown disease. This necklace turns out to be the 'Tablet of Sight', an artifact that grows in power when exposed to a "Tear of Heaven". Now, let's get to why she's involved in this story...
Her boyfriend for a year broke up with her, and guess who shows up wandering outside her school without any memory? It's (surprise, surprise!) Lunar. She uses his memory loss as means of getting back at her ex...Until Lunar touches the Tablet, and remembers that...

1. His real girlfriend has been dead for over a year...
2. His name is "Lunar".
3. He needs the 9 Tears of Heaven, scattered around Tanzuku and Syra to remember everything else...
...And 4. Meri has the key to his memory, and a one-way ticket to Tanzuku.

Lunar grabs her, and drags her back inside of the (Now closed) school, and the two argue, until Lunar gets fed up, and pulls Meri through a portal created by the tablet. Needless to say, Meri isn't exactly thrilled that she can't get back home, and that she's more or less defenseless to the inhabitants of Tanzuku. She tags along, and they develop a sort of "Love-Hate" relationship.

Meri more or less passes out. Summon the Blade of End.
